Park Ranger Intern Positions
Dates: Program runs May 15 through September 15 (as school schedule permits)
Description: Duties involve management of county parks under a full time Park Ranger, supervision of other seasonal staff and volunteers, collection of fees, public safety, public relations, planning of events, light construction, park maintenance, environmental education, and other duties as required. Work duties are generally performed out of doors and in inclement weather. Job duties require a considerable amount of physical activity, including walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, stooping and climbing. Employee must have the ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. and possess the coordination and manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment involved in maintenance, construction and repair tasks.

Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Cannot have been convicted of a felony in the past two years. Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record. Prefer someone pursuing a career in a natural resource related field.
Other: Non-standard workweek that will include holidays, evenings and weekends. Professionalism and good public relations are essential, as is time management. Internships may qualify for college credit. Job performance evaluations will be completed.
Salary: Pay will be $7.25 - $10.00 per hour depending on experience. Some uniform provided.

The Pottawattamie County WIC Program has an opening for a part-time RN or LPN to work 2-3 days per week, no nights, and no weekends. Board Secretary

Essential Job Duties:
The Board Secretary is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support services to the Board of Supervisors. The incumbent is responsible for answering the telephone, greeting individuals who come to the department and directs them to appropriate source for assistance. Responsible for accounts payable and assists with preparation and publication of Board agenda. Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of and ability to apply office procedures and standard clerical techniques. Must be proficient in Microsoft office software including word and excel. Ability to utilize accounting/bookkeeping principles and procedures in order to reconcile documents and balance expenditure accounts. Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail as accuracy is an essential function of this position.
